Gualdo & the surrounding areas The fascinating hilltop village of Gualdo is a five-minute drive from Casa Millie and its small quaint shops will intrigue you and cater for your everyday needs. Market day is on a Tuesday and the village atmosphere is jovial and neighbourly. Only ten minutes away is the medieval spa town of Sarnano with its spiraling narrow cobbled streets that lead up to the High Square at the summit. It is one of the few Le Marche towns that has completely preserved its Medieval town centre. Market day is on a Thursday, and in this historic town you can find pizzerias, restaurants, supermarket, hospital, tennis courts and health spa. The Fonte San Giacomo is well known for its mineral water spring and beauty treatments Casa Millie can be your stopover en route to Rome (3 hours drive), Milan (4 hours drive), Athens, Croatia and The Adriatic. We love the drive from Rome, as the countryside is unbelievably beautiful any time of year and the roads are great. It is the gateway to undiscovered Europe.
